Registration for the 2021-2022 season is now open!

Due to the Covid situation again this year, registration for returning members is extended to July 31, 2021. New members also have a deadline of July 31, 2021 to register.

All registrations and payments not postmarked or timestamped on or before July 31, 2021 will be returned as unaccepted and you will not be able to hunt this season.

!!The meeting requirement is waived again this year, although we will be having the meetings on the usual dates at the cleaning station. Attendance is not required this year though!!

Membership forms are now available for the 2021-22 season in the Membership Forms block!
Read the following registration process entirely to insure you are properly registered.

Traditional Registration:
Forms must be filled out, signed, notarized (as required), and mailed to the team along with membership fees postmarked by July 31, 2021 for ALL members.
Mail completed forms and payment to:
Hilltop Lakes Wildlife Management Team
PO BOX 1737
Hilltop Lakes, Texas 77871

Online Registration:
Returning members(non-lapsed): Simply fill out the form(s) and send them to membership@hilltoplakeswmt.org. Of course, you may still mail forms to the PO Box or bring them to the March meeting if you wish.
New and Lapsed members: You may use the fillable forms, but there is a requirement to have the form notarized. So, you will have to print these and mail the forms into the PO Box or bring them to the March or July meeting.
Non-Hunter Permission Forms: You may use the fillable forms, but there is a requirement to have the form notarized. So, you will have to print these and mail the forms into the PO Box or bring them to the March or July meeting.

-Payment for membership can be submitted via PayPal to: membership@hilltoplakeswmt.org, mailed to the PO Box, or brought to the March or July meeting.
-All members may use the PayPal method of payment.
-If using PayPal, it is very important that you use the note feature and indicate the member that is to be credited with payment. Otherwise, it may be difficult to match up payments and forms. In the future, this will be fixed to utilize carts, invoices, etc. to keep everyone in sync.
-If your forms must be notarized, you may still submit payment via PayPal. However, you will not be officially verified and allowed to hunt until your notarized forms are received.
-When submitting payment via PayPal, you can try to use the "Friends and Family" option, but if you are not offered a payment method that does not charge YOU a fee, then just pick the "Pay for a Service" option and WMT will pick up the fees. This may change in the future.

NOTICE TO NEW MEMBERS: This registration period is for the 2021-2022 season.
You may hunt hogs after you register and receive confirmation, but you cannot hunt deer until the start of the 2021-2022 deer season.
Please be mindful of current members that are still hunting deer.

Registration closes July 31, 2021 for all members!!

General Information

The Hilltop Lakes WMT is an organization formed to provide a safe and healthy balance between wildlife and the human population. This is to be accomplished through safe and properly planned management and education. We also pride ourselves in our community volunteer work.

Management of deer is done through particiaption in the TPWD MLDCO management program.  One of the benefits of being an MLDCO is that our deer hunting season is extended through the end of February. However, if you are looking to hang that trophy buck on your wall then you will be happier hunting somewhere else. The WMT's purpose is for management of population which means the primary focus is on thinning the excess does from the herd.  As such, there are very few buck tags issued each season.

WMT members may hunt and trap hogs year round.

Hunting is by bow or crossbow only.

Trapping of hogs is allowed. However, snares, leg holds, jaw traps, or dogs are prohibited.

Here are some of the requirements that must be met to participate with the Wildlife Team.
